Seal has been forced to pay up commission on earnings to his former manager, after losing a court battle.
A High Court judge ordered the singer-songwriter, real name Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel, to pay John Wadlow £500,000 in earnings from his first two album.
There was "no doubt" his former manager had helped Seal to be successful in his early career, Judge Charles Gray said.
Seal did not attend court to hear the decision.
It was recently revealed that Seal and wife Heidi Klum are expecting their second child.
"It gives me great joy to announce that Heidi, Leni, Henry and I are expecting a new addition to our ever-increasing family," Seal told ‘People’ magazine.
"We all feel both excited and fortunate to be able to share this experience once again."
