Reese Witherspoon is suing Star magazine for printing an article which claimed she was pregnant.
The story said that the Oscar-winning actress didn’t want to tell producers of her coming movies that she was expecting her third child.
The ‘Walk The Line’ star, who is married to actor Ryan Phillippe, is suing the magazine's parent company, American Media, in Los Angeles Superior Court for invasion of privacy.
The lawsuit states she is not pregnant and the story could damage her reputation as it implies she is dishonest.
The article claimed the 30-year-old was concealing her baby bump under 1920s-style swimsuits and baggy outfits.
An American Media spokesperson had not be available for comment.
