The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J Blige, says that she has come to realize that street talk sounds completely ignorant and unattractive, so she is leaving her ebonics in the past, according to reports. The singer confessed that she's embarrassed when she thinks of her use of slang in the past, and wants to project a more mature image. "I used to talk with so much slang, but I know that is just ignorance."
"I don't want that to be a part of my life anymore," said the superstar.
Her "Mary J. Blige: The Breakthrough Experience" tour kicks off July 1st in Houston, TX, and she'll be performing in over 30 cities in the US.
