Marilyn Manson reportedly thinks he is responsible for President George W Bush’s election victory.
The controversial rock star is plagued with guilt by the fact that he jokingly told his fans to vote for Bush during his first election campaign.
But now Manson fears his fans may have actually voted for him, giving him the edge over Democrat Al Gore - contributing to Bush’s narrow victory in the election. “He won by such a small amount, and particularly because it was in Florida,” Marilyn says.
"Who's to say there weren't a couple of our fans who took my sarcasm seriously and voted for him?"
Erm, we didn’t think 12-year-old shock-rock fans were eligible to vote?
