Lionel Richie has spoken out about his daughter Nicole Richie’s fight with ex-best pal Paris Hilton.
He confirmed that Nic and Paris, who have been inseparable since they were babies, are still not speaking but he says he’s confident they’ll heal their rift.
He also revealed that he’s still close to the Hiltons and both families are convinced their diva daughters will kiss and make up.
"They have been having arguments since they were three," he explained.
"My mother gave me some good advice: 'As parents, if we can just stay out of our kids' arguments, nine times out of 10 it will take care of itself.'"
The ‘Simple Life’ co-stars stopped being pals earlier last year, but they’ve remained tight-lipped about the reason behind their split, although Paris has said: "Nicole knows what she did."
"We may never know what it is and you know what? Certain things we just don't want to know,” Lionel concluded.
