“Her closets are overflowing with things like $8,000 Prada dresses and $2,000 Balenciaga bags,” said stylist Rachel Zoe about teen star Lindsay Lohan. “She has so many clothes, she never even wears some of them!”
This was part of the story that appeared in Life & Style magazine which is reporting that LiLo spent over $1 million on clothes and accessories in 2005 and is apparently visiting a hypnotist to help her get her shopping habit under control.
The 19-year-old star has been known to spend $100,000 a day, once allegedly blowing $20,000 in 20 minutes. “I don’t want to be the best-dressed person in the poorhouse,” she once said.
Her rep, of course, issued the standard denial - and let's credit the rep for getting a lot more colorful in her press statements: “That is just a bunch of crap.”
The rep also told The Scoop: “There’s no hypnotist. Lindsay loves clothes but the idea that she spent that much last year is completely stupid.”
