Paul McCartney's estranged wife " plans to sue a British newspaper for publishing “vicious” claims that she was a high class prostitute when she was in her 20s.
The former-model’s legal reps say the News of the World’s claims were “untrue and highly defamatory” and that the paper would be hit with a lawsuit as soon as Heather’s divorce from Ex-Beatles star Paul was finalised.
“Heather is very distressed by this article,” Heather’s lawyer said in a statement.
"She continues to recover slowly from her revision amputation operation and has suffered weight loss, anxiety and sleeping problems as a result of the stress and anxiety of the break-up of her marriage.
"The coverage of this in certain newspapers has caused further distress and illness to her."
Heather married Paul in 2002 and they have a daughter, Beatrice, together. The pair blamed their recent split on finding it “increasingly difficult to maintain a normal relationship with constant intrusion into our private lives".
