Johnny Depp has laughed off reports that he’s set to star as the late INXS star Michael Hutchence in a new biopic called ‘’Slide Away.
Depp says he hadn’t heard anything about the project until he read about it in the press and says, even if he was approached to play the rocker, he isn’t glamorous enough to portray him in a movie.
"No one ever approached me about it. I don't think I'd be the guy to play Michael. I knew him pretty well,” 43-year-old says.
"He was pretty broad, Michael. He was kind of a glam guy. He was like a god, like a shaman, so I don't think I'd be the guy."
Michael Hutchence died in a Sydney hotel room in 1997.
