Animated movie ‘Cars’ has gripped onto the number one spot on the North American box office chart for a second week.
The Pixar movie, which features the vocal talents of Owen Wilson and Paul Newman, is about a talking vehicle by the name of Lightning McQueen and generated $31.2m (£16.9m).
In at second place was ‘Nacho Libre‘, which stars Jack Black as a cook who is also a wrestler. It took $27.5m (£14.8m).
‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’ entered the chart at number three and made $24.1m (£13m).
‘Cars’ is the seventh Disney-Pixar film, all have which have opened at number one in North America.
