Didn't Brit just tell Matt Lauer in an interview last week that her marriage was "awesome"? Well that's what Britney Spears wants her fans to think. She even took a vacation with her estranged hubby Kevin Federline to Florida right afterwards and they went to great lengths to be photographed together at the beach with their son, Sean Preston. Buuuutt, it turns out that the two of them actually spent most of their time apart.
This mini-vacation on Aqua Island lasted on a couple of days but reportedly cost the singer $250,000 because she had to rent not one house - but TWO HOUSES. The second one was to get the trousersnake far away from her.
According to In Touch Weekly, a friend said, Britney “did it to get away from Kevin.”
Except for the time at the beach, they spent the rest of the vacation apart. K-Fed jet skied by himself in South Beach and later went out to club Mansion -- without Britney but with a posse of eight friends. He drank Cristal champagne and danced until 3:30 a.m., according to the magazine.
Despite their problems, a “pal” says, Spears “wants the world to think they’re happier than ever.”
