Legendary television producer Aaron Spelling has died at the age of 83. He passed away on Friday at his mansion near Beverley Hills.
His publicist has announced Aaron, who produced TV hits like ‘Charlie’s Angels’, ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ and ‘Dynasty’, died from complications following a stroke he suffered earlier this month.
Aaron’s wife, Candy, and son, Randy, were by his side. But it’s not known whether daughter Tori Spelling was present.
Tori said on Wednesday that she would be “travelling back to Los Angeles to be by my dad's side”.
The following day, Randy Spelling, hit out at rumours about tensions within the family, saying: "The truth is that we love each other very much."
"This isn't ‘Dynasty‘; this is real life, and we're dealing with my dad's medical condition with his best interests at heart, and as a family," he added.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Aaron brought much success to the ABC TV network and set a record for producing 3,000 television shows.
Spelling was born in Dallas, Texas in 1925 and was one of five children of a Jewish immigrant family.
His funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
