Aaliyah Memories Haunt Jet Li On Movie Shoot

Jet Li says he’s been haunted by memories of the late R&B princess Aaliyah while shooting his new movie in Vancouver, Canada. The same place he filmed ‘Romeo Must Die’ with Aaliyah.

Li and Aaliyah starred in the movie, an urban version of ‘Romeo and Juliet' as lovers whose families are rival gang leaders.

“I have some memories of this very beautiful city, but it still makes me think about Aaliyah,” Jet says. “She was such a talented girl and some locations when you pass by every day, you still think about her.”

Dunst And Coppola Talk Life After Suicide

Kirsten Dunst and director Sofia Coppola are collaborating again on a new movie, ‘Marie-Antoinette’, a costume drama with a modern twist which just premiered at Cannes.

Two pair first worked together on Coppola’s debut movie, ‘The Virgin Suicides’, and since Sofia has directed ‘Lost In Translation’ and Kirsten has stared in hit films like ‘Spider-Man’.

In ‘Marie-Antoinette’, Dunst stars as the young French queen - who dresses in aristocratic gowns but has a party-girl attitude.

The Breakfast Club Actor Gleason Dies

‘Trading Places’ and ‘The Breakfast Club’ actor Paul Gleason has died of cancer. He was 67. Gleason died at a local hospital on Saturday of a rare type of lung cancer that’s linked to asbestos, called mesothelioma, his wife Susan Gleason has announced.

“Whenever you were with Paul, there was never a dull moment,” his wife says. “He was awesome.”

Actor Jimmy Hawkins, a friend of Gleason’s since the 1960s, has also paid tribute to the actor, remembering his sense of humour: “He just always had great stories to tell.

X-Men Storms To Box Office Success

‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ has toppled last weekend’s box office topper ‘The Da Vinci Code’, becoming the fourth-highest all-time opening in North America in the process - estimates indicate. ‘X-Men’ made approximately $107 million over the three-day period from Friday to Saturday, the movie’s distributor 20th Century Fox says.

"People had such a huge awareness of the movie that it just translated into these huge numbers," said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Exhibitor Relations. The movie benefited from a fan base who had seen the first "X-Men" films, plus good marketing and favourable reviews, Dergarabedian added.

Foxy Brown's Nail Attack Trial Set For July

Badass rap chick Foxy Brown will stand trial in July, accused of assaulting two nail salon workers during a payment dispute.

The hip hopper, whose real name is Inga Marchand, is charged with misdemeanour in assault in the August 2004 incident, in which prosecutors say she kicked one worker and punched another in the face.

During Foxy’s last court appearance in December, she was due to plead guilty to the misdeamenour charge but it got sidetracked when Judge Melissa Jackson accused Foxy of being disrespectful and making faces at her. “I don’t like her attitude,” Jackson said.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are celebrating the birth of their baby girl in Namibia, Africa.

Brangelina have named their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, Angelina’s publicist Cindy Guagenti has announced in a statement.

Brad and Ange moved to Namibia in April to prepare for the birth of Shiloh, whose gorgeous Hollywood genes will probably make her one of the cutest babies ever.

Gwen Stefani has given birth to her first child, a baby boy, in a Los Angeles Hospital on Friday.

Gwen and husband Gavin Rossdale’s son will be named Kingston James McGregor.

"Both mother and child are doing well," spokesman Dave Tomberlin said.

Oscar-winner Hilary Swank and her Emmy-winning husband Chad Lowe will divorce after eight years of marriage, a spokesperson for Hilary has revealed.

The couple, who split last January, jointly decided to end their marriage.

"Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe have jointly decided to divorce. They continue to be friends and have the utmost respect for one another," the couple's lawyer Jeffrey Bernstein says.
