Keith Richards, the guitarist for The Rolling Stones, will not need brain surgery after suffering a head injury on holiday in Fiji last week.
It was feared the rock star would need blood to be drained from his brain after falling out of a tree.
But spokeswoman Fran Curtis said: "He's feeling good and in good spirits."
Richards, 62, was flown to hospital in New Zealand after the accident with "mild concussion".
The Stones are to start the European leg of their world tour on 27 May in Barcelona.
