Innovative hip hop stars OutKast will return this summer with the soundtrack to their movie Idlewild, with the movie itself following closely behind.
The album is the duo’s first since their massively successful double album ‘Speakerboxx’/‘The Love Below’ which was released in 2003 and launched the hits ‘Hey Ya!’, ‘Roses’ and ‘The Way You Move’.
The first single taken from the upcoming album is likely to be called Idlewild Blues.
The movie will feature band members Andre 3000 and Big Boi as rival gang leaders and Terence Howard and soul songstress Macy Gray will co-star.
The soundtrack hits stores on August 21st, with the movie - ‘Idlewild’ - arriving in theatres on August 25th.
