"Dirrty" girl Christina Aguilera has thrilled fans by promising her first album in four years will be in stores this August. The new married singer has changed her tune slightly on her latest offering called ‘Back To Basics’ which is set to be released on August 15. According to The Sun, Xtina described the new music as a "concept" album that follows a bold jazz vision. "The touchstones are Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald," she said. "What I used to call my 'fun music' when I was a little girl."
The "Genie In A Bottle" hitmaker, who married Jordan Bratman in November, returned to the studio to work on the retro-jazz disc. The first single from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s jazz and blues inspired album will be available as early as next month.
Xtina's album "Stripped" sold over 3.9 million copies in 2002 in the US alone.
To start the promotion, Christina will perform her new single ‘Ain’t No Other Man’ at the MTV Music Awards on June 8 just days before its release.
