There is a report out that due-any-day-now pregnant actress Katie Holmes stunned a magazine journalist when she sat beside fiance Tom Cruise for a recent interview and showed definite signs that she has guzzled the kool-aid.
As Parade magazine reporter Dotson Rader interview Tom Cruise about his abusive father and being bullied at school while growing up, he reported that Katie "...she seemed dazed, passive and vacant. She never stopped smiling."
It was a wierd reaction considering her man was pouring his heart out beside her. The Mission Impossible star revealed that his father was, "a bully and a coward. He was the kind of person where, if something goes wrong, they kick you. It was a great lesson in my life - how he'd lull you in, make you feel safe and then, bang!" said Cruise.
"For me, it was like, There's something wrong with this guy. Don't trust him. Be careful around him. There's that anxiety," he added.
In 1974, when Cruise was 11, his parents divorced. Cruise's mother, Mary Lee, moved her family to Louisville, Ky., her hometown, the magazine says in its April 9 issue. Ten years later, Cruise says he reunited with his father, who was "in the hospital dying of cancer, and he would only meet me on the basis that I didn't ask him anything about the past."
"When I saw him in pain, I thought, `Wow, what a lonely life,'" Cruise said. "He was in his late 40s. It was sad."
And Kate smiled through all of this? Yikes. PageSix related that all through the interview Cruise was, 'hooting about how beautiful she was, touching and kissing her like a teenage boy on his first backseat date, aware that he was being watched," then summed up the whole incident as "Creepy."
