'Virgin' and 'Wedding Crashers' major MTV Movie Award contenders

wedding crashers photo Comedies ?Wedding Crashers? and ?The 40-Year-Old Virgin? lead the nominations for this year?s MTV Movie Awards, after scoring five each.

"Wedding Crashers" has received nominations including best film and best duo, for Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn.

"Sin City", "King Kong" and "Batman Begins" are also up for the best film award.

Jessica Alba, Beyonce Knowles and Jessica Simpson battle it out in the sexiest performance category, which is one of two new categories.

katie holmes photo New mom Katie Holmes is changing her first name, to reflect the fact that she�s now all-grown-up.

The yummy mummy says �Katie� sounds too young for a 27-year-old and now wants to be known simply as �Kate�.

Her husband-to-be, Tom Cruise, has revealed: "Katie is a young girl's name."

"Her name is Kate now she's a child-bearing woman."

He has also revealed he hopes to star with his baby momma on the big screen.

�I can't wait to do a movie with Kate. I don't think working together is a bad idea at all,� he said at the premiere of his new movie �Mission Impossible: III�.

Snoop Dogg Bailed After Business Lounge Bust-Up

Snoop Dogg photo Snoop Dogg has been released on bail following his arrest at London?s Heathrow Airport.

The rapper and five others were arrested on suspicion of violent behaviour during a massive disturbance - involving champagne bottles being smashes - in a business lounge which involved 30 people.

The incident, which left seven police officers with minor injuries, is reported to have erupted after members of Snoop?s entourage were turned away from the lounge.

?It was absolute chaos - there was broken glass everywhere and it looked like it was on the brink of turning really nasty. It wasn't clear what sparked it but Snoop was livid," a witness told London?s The Mirror newspaper.

Yo, American Idol wannabe Kellie Pickler: Your 15 minutes of fame are up. You may be a little minx and yor daddy may be in prison but America stopped feeling sorry for your lousy warbling and voted you off. Bu-bye! America -- you done good.

The cheerleader turned Sonic drive-in roller-skatin' waitress from Albermarle, North Carolina, has the good looks, southern charm, and the trailer park moxie to knock white trash queen Britney Spears off her pedestal.

Alas, if only she could sing it would negate the fact that the former Miss Stanly County is permanently stuck on stupid. After her performance Tuesday of the too-often sung "Unchained Melody," Simon Cowell told her she was "bland" and "robotic" - which in two words sums up her lackluster performances this season.

And WTF is with Paula Abdul? She's gone completely mental but I'm looking at her in a new light. When she jumped up and told Simon to shut it I laughed so hard I snorted ~~tequila~~ Dr. Pepper outta my nose. And not in a good way. It hurt a lot.

Actress Denise Richards, who is in the middle of a nasty sordid divorce from Charlie Sheen, has begun dating rocker-on-the-divorce-rebound Richie Sambora, who is the estranged husband of Denise's best friend and neighbor, Heather Locklear.

I don't know why Denise would want to make her life anymore complicated than it already is what with crazy Charlie threatening to kill her and leaving such vile verbal attacks on her answering machine that he sounds beyond bat-shit crazy to the O.J. Simpson kind of maniacal crazy.

Apparently she did try to ease the impact on Heather by telling her former bestest friend about the relationship days before going public with her romance with Richie, according to In Touch magazine. The two actresses had spent New Year's Eve together (sans husbands) but the Denise Loves Richie thing has officially ended their friendship.

David Copperfield Uses Magic to Fake Out Muggers

Magician David Copperfield pulled a sleight of hand on robbers who demanded his wallet at gunpoint on Sunday night, after a performance in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Hey for any guy who can make the Statue of Liberty disappear and marry supermodel Claudia Schieffer, fooling a bunch of dumbs**t teens must have seemed like Magic 101.

As the story unfolds, the master magician and two assistants, Cathy Daly and Mia Volmut, were walking back to their tour bus when a black car pulled up beside them.

"At first we thought they were just more people wanting autographs," a spokesperson read in a statement for Copperfield. "They told us to give them money and our stuff. At that point we realized that there were guns in our face."

His assistants handed over money, plane tickets and other various items. Copperfield turned his pockets inside out to show he had nothing on him - a sleight of hand by the illusionist. "Call it reverse pickpocketing," Copperfield later said. He still had his passport, wallet and cell phone, and gave the teens nothing.

Elizabeth Taylor May Be Near Death

One of Hollywood's greatest screen legends, Elizabeth Taylor, is reportedly on the brink of death with a failing heart.

Sources say the Oscar winner, 74, is bedridden in her Bel Air, California, home. After learning her health was deteriorating, she cancelled her annual Easter party and began planning her funeral.

A friend says, "Liz is inching closer to death every day and she knows it. It is not a pretty picture. "She's not leaving a lot of money to her children. She wants the bulk of her fortune to go to AIDS research."

The actress and former child star reportedly will be buried next to her former husband Richard Burton in Switzerland.

Kevin Federline and Britney Spears In a sign of the impending apocalypse, insiders close to Britney Spears have confirmed that the toxic singer will bring forth a second child by the fertile Kevin Federline.

The sources say the singer has known she was expecting since early February, but waited until Easter to officially confess to her family about the next federbaby.

Yeah -- oops, he did it again. Is there no God? This guy produces kids faster than an NBA player.

Brit had been the subject of much speculation after she was photographed on a Hawaiian holiday earlier this year revealing a tummy bulge, and she was spotted at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, over the weekend sporting a red bikini and her baby bump.

Michelle Rodriguez pic "Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez pleaded guilty on Tuesday to driving while drunk, choosing to pay a $500 fine and spend five days in jail rather than do 240 hours of community service.

Michelle, who portrays police officer Ana Lucia on "Lost", and cast member Cynthia Watros were both charged with drunken driving after they were spotted weaving along a freeway and were pulled over Dec. 1 in separate cars within 15 minutes of each other. Michelle originally insisted she was not guilty when she appeared in court in January.

When a judge gave Michelle the option of jail time or community service, she opted for lock up. The actress was given a day to put her affairs in order and she'll be taken into custody and transported to a women's prison on Hawaii today. But that doesn't mean she's done with serving time.

Catherine Aeta Jones Gorgeous actress Catherine Zeta Jones - remember her? - used to make movies like "Traffic" and "Zorro" but lately seems to have been doing only TV commercials for T-Mobile phones.

According to AdWeek, the T-Mobile gig pays her $20 million per year for filming a couple of thirty second spots. No wonder she's cut back her work schedule. Who wants the grind of spending weeks and months on end making motion pictures when you're making that kind of serious cash?

Not only is the money sweet, she prefers works alone. I've also heard that Catherine "doesn't like to work with people" and that all those common nosepickers walking around in the background of the TV moblie commercials weren't actually present at the shoot with CZJ. They were digitally added later. Now that's a diva demand!
