Actress Denise Richards, who is in the middle of a nasty sordid divorce from Charlie Sheen, has begun dating rocker-on-the-divorce-rebound Richie Sambora, who is the estranged husband of Denise's best friend and neighbor, Heather Locklear.
I don't know why Denise would want to make her life anymore complicated than it already is what with crazy Charlie threatening to kill her and leaving such vile verbal attacks on her answering machine that he sounds beyond bat-shit crazy to the O.J. Simpson kind of maniacal crazy.
Apparently she did try to ease the impact on Heather by telling her former bestest friend about the relationship days before going public with her romance with Richie, according to In Touch magazine. The two actresses had spent New Year's Eve together (sans husbands) but the Denise Loves Richie thing has officially ended their friendship.
The two actresses first became friends in 2001 when the former Bond girl joined Sheen and Locklear in a Spin City episode. Last year, Denise was one of just six women Heather invited to share her 44th birthday celebration at restaurant Koi in Los Angeles.
In Touch also claims Denise may have been instrumental in prompting Locklear to divorce her husband after 11 years of marriage. A friend told the magazine, "She was the one who told Heather to file for divorce."
Sounds like she wanted Richie for herself ...
