British "Celebrity Big Brother" winner Chantelle Houghton has announced she is engaged to fellow housemate Sam Preston.
The Paris Hilton look-a-like and the Ordinary Boys frontman met in January when she was planted as a “fake celebrity” and was told to convince the other housemates - including basketball superstar Dennis Rodman and ex-"Baywatch" babe Traci Bingham - that she was a member of the fictional girl band Kandy Floss.
22-year-old Chantelle, who made the announcement at the New Woman awards in London, says Preston has given her his mother's wedding ring.
"It was as much unexpected for me as it was for him, you know,” she says.
"He asked for his mum to send the ring over, which she done and, you know, he asked me. It just happened. I just want to marry him."
"I've had a really long day today but I don't feel tired and I'm just dying to get home to see him,” she added.
Preston dumped his long-term girlfriend, Camille Aznar, to be with Chantelle after leaving the "Big Brother" house.
