Grammy-winning singer Ashanti Douglas will escort the body of her cousin, who was killed by 17-year-old drink driver in South Africa this weekend, back to the United States.
20-year-old Quinshae Snead was driving to the R&B songstress’ hotel room to pick up something for her before a concert on Saturday when another car, which a teenager had stolen from his mother, crashed into hers from behind.
Snead was flung from the car as it rolled over and thrown into the path of another vehicle.
The teenager driving the other vehicle was "under the influence of liquor", Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar has said. The teen was arrested for drink driving and taken to hospital.
Grief-stricken Ashanti cancelled a concert expected to take place later that day.
The singer is in South Africa with her parents, sister and brother.
"It has been very traumatic. They are not coping at all," concert promoter Morris Roda has said.

I wanted the Douglas family to know I have them in my prayers during this time. It is hard when we lose someone so dear and close to us. God knows exactly what HE is doing and we have to rely on prayer and our faith.
I pray you will rely on your strength, family and your faith.
It is sad, but remember you have your own personal angel watching over you.

may god bless me and my whole family on this very sad occasion. quin my cousin, although we lost contact after her mom and dad past away. we still loved her the same. i cant start to explain the pain i feel. quin was quin. if u had a problem she was there. quin was the sun to my day and the moon to my night. so now i say REST IN PEACE Q. we will see you again. shany, shia, ken-kaide, tina although we dont know eachother thank you for holding her down.and the rest of our family we will get through this together................god bless
