New mom Katie Holmes is changing her first name, to reflect the fact that she’s now all-grown-up.
The yummy mummy says ‘Katie’ sounds too young for a 27-year-old and now wants to be known simply as ‘Kate‘.
Her husband-to-be, Tom Cruise, has revealed: "Katie is a young girl's name."
"Her name is Kate now she's a child-bearing woman."
He has also revealed he hopes to star with his baby momma on the big screen.
“I can't wait to do a movie with Kate. I don't think working together is a bad idea at all,” he said at the premiere of his new movie “Mission Impossible: III”.
Kate recently gave birth to the couple’s first child, a baby girl called Suri.
