A Los Angeles councilman wants to put up a hefty $50,000 public reward for anyone with information that helps solved East Coast rap legend the Notorious B.I.G’s murder.
A City Council public safety committee is currently reviewing councilman Dennis Zine’s motion which he hopes would help close the famous case.
"I am hopeful someone will come forward with information which will lead to the eventual apprehension of the murderers involved in this case," Zine said in a statement.
A $25,000 reward was initially offered just Biggie’s murder, but it expired after several months. This new reward would be available for 60 days.
The investigation into his fatal shooting, which occurred in March 1997, has been reopened with a new team of detectives.
Biggie, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, tragically died after seven shots were fired into his vehicle a VIBE magazine party.
