Johnny Depp Slated For Michael Hutchence Biopic

johnny depp photo Johnny Depp is reportedly being lined-up to play deceased rock star Michael Hutchence in a new biopic of his life.

The movie, which may also star Naomi Watts, Sienna Miller, Rachel Griffiths, and Eric Bana, will be directed by the INXS frontman's brother Rhett, it will be filmed in Australia in co-operation with the Hutchence estate.

Ex-INXS music video director Nick Egan on the project is also working on the project.

The film will reportedly be called "Slide away", which refers to the duet Hutchence performed with U2's Bono.

Angelina Jolie photo Brangelina�s stay in Namibia has sent interest in the African country through the roof, the country�s US ambassador has revealed.

"The Namibian embassy in Washington DC has been inundated with calls from the US media and individuals," since it was announced Hollywood hottie Angelina Jolie would give birth to Brad Pitt�s first child in the country, Hopelong Ipinge says.

"If Angelina gives birth in Namibia, she would have done for our tourism sector what our tourism board budget cannot do in a year,� he added.

"Never before have we had so much publicity. Angelina Jolie is not only a movie star, she is also the U.N. Goodwill Ambassador and this is the combination which makes her the draw card," he said.

"It would be an honour for Namibia to become the birthplace of the Pitts' first biological child," Iipinge said, the couple probably chose the remote country knowing it could offer them the privacy they craved.

50 cent photo 50 Cent is on a mission to get America�s chubby kids fit and healthy, by helping them change their eating habits.

The beef cake �In Da Club� rapper has joined up with fitness expert Jorge Cruise to offer a $100,000 scholarship to students who submit healthy recipes to their Free Lunch Money website next month (May).

Fiddy says he eats healthily to be a good role model for his son and always makes sure the refrigerator is loaded with nutritional snacks.

"I just change the things that are available for him in the house. It's more vitamin water than cans of soda," he says.

"He just gets accustomed to it because of my habits."

50 Cent and Cruise will sample the recipes sent in by high school kids and give their student who creates the most yummy healthy cafeteria lunch menu the scholarship.

jessica simpson photo Jessica Simpson is reportedly devastated that her ex-husband Nick Lachey revealed all about their divorce, including how he still loves her, to Rolling Stone magazine.

"She was devastated, heartbroken. She didn't think he would do that," a source close to Jess has confessed to People magazine.

Jessica�s pals all gathered at her house on the day the article hits stores to help console the blonde babe, and she even received a phone call from Nick himself as �he wanted her to hear it from him� - as a friend of Nick�s says.

"He felt bad that she was upset, but Nick didn't apologise, because the things he said [in the article] only demonstrate that he loves her."

Team Simpson insist Nick is using their couple�s divorce to promote his upcoming album (duh!), "What�s Left Of Me", which is released on May 19th.

"What really upset her was the timing. Nick waited until two weeks before his album debut to tell a reporter that he loved Jessica. That's not cool," the source close to Jess has also revealed.

"He keeps saying, 'I'm sorry I couldn't make her happy,' but he is not choosing to say why."

Sharon Stone Accepts Damages After Child Neglect Claim

sharon stone photo Sharon Stone has been awarded substantial damages from a newspaper which claimed she neglected her four-year-old son to dine at a restaurant.

The Daily Mail had printed the �Basic Instinct� star had left her son with a driver while she ate dinner at the famous The Ivy restaurant.

"The article conveyed the clear allegation that Sharon Stone had neglected her son in a shameful and selfish way," her lawyer has said, and she had no choice but to seek damages to set the record straight.

The Daily Mail printed a photo of Sharon�s child and a driver sitting the front of the car, stating the actress left him there for two hours while she was with �a mystery male companion", and that her son would have been traumatised by the incident.

ronan keating photo Irish pop singer Ronan Keating could be called to give evidence against Snoop Dogg, after witnessing the hip hop star?s fight with police and staff at London?s Heathrow Airport last week.

The ex-Boyzone front man turned solo star was present throughout the incident which kicked-off after members of Snoop?s entourage were turned away from a business lounge.

The rapper was bailed on Thursday, along with five others, after being arrested and charged with violent disorder.

Last week, Ronan launched a new initiative to raise awareness for cancer. As part of the project, nurses will travel around the country in mobile units to educate people on how to lower your chances of getting the disease and how to catch cancer in its early stages.

eminem photo Eminem is working to end his fued with his mom, who is suffering from terminal cancer, by paying her medical costs.

The rapper, who hasn�t spoke to Debbie Nelson in years, had previously made his hate for his mom public by releasing his anger at her on many of his tracks. This promoted her to slap him with a multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit in 2002, which was settled out of court for $26,000.

"The nightmare Debbie has been going through with her cancer has put everything in perspective,� a source has revealed.

"She is very weak and knows the prognosis is bleak. She is desperate to build bridges with her son and put things right before it's too late.

Angelina Is People's 'Most Beautiful' Cover Girl

Angelina Jolie photo Angelina Jolie will feature as the cover star for People�s 100 Most Beautiful People issue, making it the mum-to-be�s fourth time on the list.

The magazine says the actress is not at her sexiest when glammed up for a movie premiere, with her pregnant glow or when she�s a siren on the big screen, but during her humanitarian work.

"She looks the most beautiful when she's in the field - natural, no make-up, nothing," People magazine quotes ex-Fugees rapper Wyclef Jean, who worked with Angelina on charity work on Haiti, as saying.

"Because you see Angelina, the angel. It doesn't get any better than that."

Angelina was also named part of the �World�s Most Beautiful Family�, along with her gorgeous boyfriend Brad Pitt and two cute kids.

Mandy Moore on Cosmo Mandy Moore says she's embarrassed to appear on the latest cover of Cosmo because a headline right next to her face boasts the claim: "Orgasms Unlimited."

"I'm very flattered to be on a magazine cover," Mandy said, "but the horrifying part is my parent's have framed every magazine that I've ever been on from the beginning. So there's a whole wall dedicated to that and it starts off with me at 14 and 'Mandy's favourite color is pink!' and now Cosmo and my face and 'orgasms unlimited.'"

"And my dad has to take it to the framer's to get it framed. It has nothing to do with me - it's just an article!"

Yeah, right. Squeaky-clean Mandy Moore - Whose cherry got popped by Wilmer when she was in like 8th grade - says she very flattered to be on A MAGAZINE COVER. Shakira Wins Big At Latin Billboard Music Awards

shakira photo Shakira was the big winner at this year�s annual Latin Billboard Music Awards, scooping six prizes.

The Colombian singer�s �Oral Fixation Vol 1� was named female Latin pop album of the year, she won four awards for her song "The Torture", and received a special prize in recognition of her charity work.

The Spirit of Hope honoured her work to help improve living conditions for Colombian kids.

The 29-year-old hip-shaking singer performer live with ex-Fugees rapper Wyclef Jean at the ceremony in Florida.
