Pop hottie Justin Timberlake has won his first lead role in a Hollywood blockbuster, it’s been revealed.
He’ll play a Rambo-type American war hero on a quest to free his best friend, who has been taken hostage by the enemy.
The girly voiced, ex-boybander had to persuade movie bosses that he was macho enough to make a believable Iraq war soldier in “Stop Loss”. He’ll be hitting the gym to beef up for the role.
Justin, who is dating "There’s Something About Mary" actress Cameron Diaz, has been rushing to finish recording songs for his much-awaited sophomore album before shooting his scenes for the film takes up all his time.
"Justin is thrilled about getting his first leading role,” a source has revealed.
"It is a huge challenge for him and he is excited as well as nervous."
The former N-Sync singer has previously appeared in “Edison” and “Alpha Dog”.
