“Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker's childhood dream will come true next month when she becomes a celebrity ambassador for Unicef.
She'll head to war-torn West Africa to meet refugees and aid workers, as part of her trip for the children's charity.
"I'm going to Liberia, where they've elected their first female president," Sarah says. She hopes to play a part in easing the tension surrounding the recent election result.
"It's a place that gets little or no attention, so we're going to try and bring some attention to it," added.
"I grew up supporting Unicef. I have been collecting money for them ever since I was a teeny, tiny child."
SJP's latest movie “Failure to Launch” recently hit theatres. She stars opposite Matthew McConaughey in the romantic-comedy.
