Irish band U2's world tour has been called-off, after a close relative of a band member became ill.
Shows in Japan, New Zealand and Australia – the band's first concert in the country in almost a decade - have all been postponed, as well as their shows in Hawaii. The identity of the sick relative has not been revealed.
"Any fan of U2 will realise that this decision has not been taken lightly," tour promoter Arthur Fogel has said. He added the decision to re-schedule the 10 dates was "unavoidable" and details of when the new shows will now take place will be announced "as soon as we have them".
Part of the world tour by the Grammy-winning band has already taken place, with shows in Europe and North and South America.
Tragedy stuck during the band's last world tour in 2001, when lead singer Bono's father, Bob Hewson, fell victim to cancer.
