Mary J Blige has revealed her rapping alter-ego Brook, as heard on the remix for Busta Rhymes' new release "Touch It", allows her to let her hair down and go wild.
Mary says she loves performing as the rapper, as it means she can go crazy without damaging her dignified persona.
'Brook' also featured on the Queen of Hip Hop/Soul's last album, "The Breakthrough", and Mary says she was asked to "bring Brook" along when she joined up with Busta Rhymes to re-work the song "Touch It".
"I had to separate the two because Mary is nice, you know, intelligent - Brook is crazy and ignorant and she don't care,” Mary J explains
"Brook cut loose on the Busta record, she did her thing. Busta didn't just want Mary on it, he wanted Mary and Brook. So the calm one is Mary, but the [crazy] one is Brook," she added.
