Thought Mariah Carey had already won every award possible for her comeback album, "The Emancipation of Mimi"? Think again, as the diva picked up another two trophies this weekend at the 20th Annual Soul Train Music Awards.
Mariah won best female album and best female single for “We Belong Together” "This has been the biggest and most successful year of my life," she said.
John Legend who took home two awards, beating R. Kelly to best male album with "Get Lifted" and best male single for "Ordinary People". He also won an honorary award, the Sammy Davis Jr. Award for entertainer of the year. "I'm truly humbled that you chose me for this," he said.
Other winners included R. Kelly, who won the new Stevie Wonder Lifetime Achievement Award, Kanye West, who's “Gold Digger” was named best R&B-soul or rap music video, and retired girl group Destiny's Child, who won the Quincy Jones Outstanding Career Achievement award for women and scooped best group song for "Cater 2 U".
The Soul Train Music Awards celebrate the best of R&B, hip-hop and gospel music.
