Jessica Simpson has spoken out for the first time about the break-up of her marriage to Nick Lachey, saying she was terrified to leave the singer because she didn't want to disappoint their fans.
Despite being miserable in the marriage, the "Dukes of Hazard" star says she wanted to stay with Nick so the perfect image of marital bliss they created on their hit show "Newlyweds" wouldn't be shattered.
"I never wanted to let anybody down," she confessed.
"But then you just have to realise that if you're not happy, you can't make anybody else happy.
"When you walk away and there's no gravitational pull, then you know you're doing the right thing. "
The couple spilt last December after three years of marriage.

I Love Jessica Simpson she has a great voice and is beautiful I was disapointed when I found out her and Nick were seperating. Jessica is intouch with God and I think that maybe if they whould have gone to counseling to try to work things out instead of just doing what everyone else does in Hollywood.
