Courteney Cox Arquette will return to our TV screens later this year, with her first role since playing Monica Geller in the long-running series “Friends”.
She'll star as Lucy Spiller, the chief editor of two popular tabloid newspapers in “Dirt”, a pilot drama for the FX network which production will start on this month in Los Angeles.
"We are absolutely thrilled that Courteney has chosen “Dirt” for her return to series television," the network's vice president of original programming, Nick Grad, has said.
Courtney's role as a journalist shouldn't be too much of a challenge for her, she's had a lot of practice with her role as reporter Gail Weathers in the successful “Scream” horror movies.
The actress and her husband, David Arquette, will be executive producers of the show.
