Lose weight or your album won't get released; that's the tough ultimatum Janet Jackson's been hit with by her record label Virgin.
After 2004's nipplegate and the flop of her last album, Damita Jo, Virgin isn't taking any chances. They've reportedly told her she has to lose the pounds she's piled on over the last six-months by September so she can promote the album.
"This new album is supposed to be pretty good, but Virgin feels it can't market it without Janet being back in fighting form, so they have hired a personal trainer for her and put her on a diet. She has to lose at least 20 pounds," a source has said.
Janet gains weight when she's not in the public eye but always gets her slim figure back in time for her album releases, a friend of the star says.

no matter what happens to janet if she gets bigger or whatever i will still be by her side no matter what. I love that woman so much i would do anything. just because she's gain weight doesn't mena she less of a woman. she's probaly happy

Janet can do whatever she wants including gaining weight. It's her body but I'm pretty sure she will look the best before her new album comes out. Janet will always be the BEST even though she gained extra pounds on so,quit hating on her.Love you Janet Jackson

I think this issue with Virgin stems from much. Obviously Janet's performance with Justin at the super bowl tampered critics and mass media's perception of her and her last album, Damita Jo, wasn't a great album, her 3 flop in her track record (Janet Jackson the album & Dream Street). I think Virgin felt the pressure for her to maintain and keep up with the times, but I think she'll pull back. She has to make a great album or otherwise, her career might be on a collision course, but I think she has it in her to succeed.

I saw the headline this morning in the Montreal morning news. Marilyn monreo has Returned to healing her Soul or something close. wtf!
Janet weight makes sense now because Marilyn from what I remember was huge later on. Did she ever have a body like Janet hello no!
