Lindsay Lohan hates being called a teen queen, the furious star has revealed, and wants to be taken seriously as a grown-up actress.
The 19-year-old Disney movie star says she's grown up a lot since her roles in teen flicks like "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" and wants to adopt a more sophisticated image. She also insists she has plenty of adult fans.
"I hate it when people call me a teen queen. The past year has felt like five lifetimes because I've grown up a lot,” she says.
"I know better what to do and what not to do. I lost sight of the people and things that are most important to me," she adds.
Lindsay's upcoming movies, "A Prairie Home Companion", in which she stars alongside Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones, and "Chapter 27", about the death of John Lennon, show her transition into adult actress.
