The new BET reality series "Lil' Kim: Countdown To Lockdown" debuts on March 9 to show the Queen Bee's life filled with glamour and high living before going to the opposite extreme of entering the slam for a long, long 366 days.
The half-hour show chronicles the last two weeks of freedom for the hip hop rap artist as she ties up her business, says goodbye to friends, and makes peace with herself. As expected, BET follows the 4'11" Lil' Kim as she and her entourage attend fashion shows, parties, music video shoots, signs autographs, and shops til she drops.
But the revealing part comes when the outspoken diva begins to wind down, becoming Kimberly Jones, as she takes off the hair extensions, acrylic nails, and make-up in an emotional preparation for her long lock down in the Philly pen, a place one former inmate described as the most depressing place she had ever seen.
