Eight years after she was accepted by the prestigious Columbia University, buddy scientologist Katie Holmes has decided to give up on ever spending even a single day in a classroom in pursuit of a college degree.
According to Contactmusic, the "Batman Begins" star and future wife of Tom Cruise had decided to postpone college when she landed a role in the hit TV series "Dawson's Creek".
Incredibly, Katie has been deferring admission annually ever since finding success in TV and films, and her father recently wrote to Columbia's undergrad admissions office withdrawing his daughter's name. (How does anybody get to hold a spot at Columbia for 8 freaking years without being dropped??)
Here's the funny part: her penny-pinching pop also reportedly requested that the univeristy return the "non-refundable" $500 deposit that he sent in back in 1998. Like that's gonna happen. Wait until he gets his hands on the pre-nup between Tom and Kate!
