You can't say that the once-hot Jared Leto isn't dedicated to his film career. The once super-ab'd and skinny star has gained 50 pounds in order to look convincing to play murderer Mark David Chapman in the movie "Chapter 27" - and is suffering for it.
A close friend of the actor's told Star People that Jared "is really feeling down in the dumps. His back is killing him, and he hates his haircut and the fact that none of his 'skinny' clothes fit him properly. And may never again."
"Off the set he's coming apart at the seams," the source added. "Plus he's joking a lot in really morbid terms that it's the start of the 'Marlon Brando phase' of his career."
Add to the problem that Jared feels awkward being a butterball and that he's no longer the dream boyfriend Lindsay Lohan had in mind. In fact, she's already moved on to rocker Ryan Adams.
