Kevin Federline Sparks Newsweek's Morbid Interest

Kevin Federline pic It's the end of the world as we know it. Non-talent hubby Kevin Federline landed in this week's issue of Newsweek with a story that ran longer than a page and had, not one but, two photos.

Let me speak for all of us: Noooooooooooooooooo! K-Fed getting any kind of attention in the once-reputable Newsweek is just wrong.

Siting his new role as "white-boy rapper," the article by Lorraine Ali quotes Kevin as saying, "Sure, there'll be the initial shock and awe," referring to his upcoming album. "But they've already said so much s--t about me it can't get worse. 'He hates his children, he treats his wife like dirt, he gets high all day.' If I was that bad, you think anyone, let alone Britney, would put up with it?"

Nicole Ritchie pic Nicole Richie has confirmed that filming for a new season of "The Simple Life" will begin on February 24. She's doing the show with her former best friend Paris Hilton, even if they aren't speaking.

"We are filming it, but we are never, like, in the same room," she said.

However, insiders are wondering if it will actually come off. "Paris is still consulting her lawyers to come up with a last-minute way out," a source close to the show told Star People. "She wants no part of it. She's about to launch her first album in a few months, and that's what she wants to focus on."

Cameron Diaz has cheated death after a freak car accident, involving a bird crashing through the windscreen of her chauffeur-driven car, sent shattered glass flying everywhere.

The actress was being driven to shoot scenes for her upcoming movie "Holiday", which co-stars Jude Law and Kate Winslet, in London when the accident occurred.

Fortunately, her driver kept his cool and managed to prevent the car from plowing off the road.

"There is no doubt that the chauffeur saved her life. Other drivers would have panicked and lost control but he remained very cool. All you had to do was look at the damage to the windscreen to realize there had been one hell of an impact," a source says.

Eva Longoria photo "Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria was petrified about getting naked for a scene on the hit show, until its producers bribed her with expensive chocolates.

Understandably Eva, who plays the sexy Gabrielle Solis, was nervous about bearing all while performing yoga for the scene, but her nerves were soon calmed by an endless supply of gorgeous Godiva chocolates.

"It's a hilarious scene, but Eva needed some coaxing first," a source said.

Knowing Eva is a chocoholic, the show's producer Marc Cherry ordered boxes of the pricey treats to be delivered. "She was a lot more agreeable [after receiving the chocolates]. Marc now keeps a steady supply of Godiva chocolates close by for all his divas on the show," a source added.

Cheryl Burke and Drew Lachey As if appearing on "Dancing with the Stars" isn't already a bad thing for your career - since there aren't any "stars" on the show - Drew Lachey, Nick's little bro, got in some trouble with the show's producers when he wanted to make an appearance on Mad TV.

Turns out, he had to cancel because the "Dancing with the Stars" people weren't thrilled by his attempts to revive his 15-minutes-of-fame by doing a parody.

According to Page Six, Drew's mouthpiece said, "The producers weren't thrilled with anyone on their shows participating in a parody of any sort. Drew has had a great experience on the show and since they only have 10 days left, his team doesn't think he should ruffle feathers or bite the hand that fed him."

Jesse Mccartney Enjoys a Corona Teen idol Jesse McCartney, 18, was caught on video by TMZ.com having a few illegal Coronas at a California club. The investigative website says authorities tend to "look the other way" when it's a young Hollywood star breaking the law.

The website has also posted other video of teenagers Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate Olsen, and Frankie Muniz as also benefiting from the under-21 celebrities above-the-law rule as they were filmed entering and leaving the popular night club Mood. And the list goes on.

TMZ contacted David Judaken, the owner of Mood who said, "We are dilligent about ID'ing people," adding, "people come with fake ID's."

After 2004's nipplegate and the flop of her last album, Damita Jo, Virgin isn't taking any chances. They've reportedly told her she has to lose the pounds she's piled on over the last six-months by September so she can promote the album.

"This new album is supposed to be pretty good, but Virgin feels it can't market it without Janet being back in fighting form, so they have hired a personal trainer for her and put her on a diet. She has to lose at least 20 pounds," a source has said.

Mischa Barton pic Mischa Barton has launched a scathing attack on socialite-turned-actress Paris Hilton saying the publicity hungry heirhead's problem is that she suffers from massive insecurity.

It's been reported that the O.C. star fell away from Paris' circle of friends when she began dating Kimberly Stewart's ex-fiance Cisco Adler, but Mischa says they were never really friends. "I met her one or two times," Mischa told the Daily Mirror, "and she's making out there's this big rivalry between us and there so isn't."

"She seems to hate everyone around her age who is more successful. Silly bitch."

Well easy for Paul Walker, because despite his gorgeous blue eyes he doesn't have Brad Pitt's career. Not yet anyway. True, the gorgeous actor is finally getting the attention he deserves with last year's "Into the Blue" and two new films "Eight Below" and "Running Scared" hitting the theaters. But the actor says he avoids the downside of stardom by living far away from Los Angeles.

"All these people who complain and bitch about it... move! Get the f**k out!" he told Complex magazine. "You don't like the press, why the hell are you shopping on Rodeo Drive? Come on, it's easy to disappear if you want to."

NickLachey & Jessica Simpson Nick Lachey, who had a popular singing career with 98 Degrees before his marriage to Jessica Simpson , is asking for about half of her net worth, his jewelry and even spousal support in their upcoming divorce proceedings.

In the latest development, the celebrity couple is even feuding over exactly WHEN they split: Jessica is claiming they separated on November 23, when she sent him an email telling him their marriage was over, and Nick is saying the official date of separation wasn't until December 13, when she actually moved her stuff out of their house.

That doesn't sound like a big deal, but Nick wants the full half of her earnings up until the minute of their split. That includes another $425,000 - which amounts to half of what Jessica earned during the two weeks when she made $850,000 when she performed at a private concert in Cincinnati.
