Keys & Foxx Big Winners At Image Awards

Alicia Keys photo Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx have both picked up trophies at this year's Image Awards in Los Angeles, which honor black artists in the entertainment industry.

Alicia took the awards for top female musical artist, top song and video for "Unbreakable", and Oscar-winner Jamie was named best male musical artist.

The “Ray” star told the audience: "It's good to be surrounded by black folks. Black folks are music."

Other winners in the music categories were: Comeback Queen Mariah Carey, who won the best album award for “The Emancipation of Mimi”, retired R&B group Destiny's Child, who won best duo or group, and “Run It” singer Chris Brown, who was named best new artist.

Movie awards went to: Samuel L Jackson, who won best actor for his role as a basketball coach in “Coach Carter”, and the racially-charged drama “Crash”, which was named best film.

Lindsay Lohan Photo Lindsay Lohan's talents don't just lie in singing and acting, she recently turned turned DJ at the wrap party for her new movie, "Chapter 27".

The teenage star wowed guests, including her co-star Jared Leto, Cuba Gooding Jr and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, when she took to the DJ booth at New York's trendy Level V club, to play her favorite tunes for nearly an hour.

Tracks Lindsay spun to get guests on the dance floor, included: Eminem's Just Lose It, AD/DC's You Shook Me All Night Long and the Beatles' Ticket To Ride.

Lindsay's new movie, "Chapter 27", is about the assassination of John Lennon. She plays a fan of the musician. It marks her move into more serious acting roles, after revealing she hates being called a “teen queen” and wants to be seen as a grown-up actress.

Eminem Could Sue US Government

Eminem Photo Rapper Eminem could sue the US Government for copyright infringement for playing his records to punish prisoners at Guantanomo Bay without his permission.

“The Road To Guantanamo” director, Michael Winterbottom, whose movie follows the activities of four male British inmates at the infamous Camp X-Ray detention centre, revealed that “music by Eminem was apparently used most of the time” as a form of punishment. “ So the boys' lawyer Clive Stafford Smith - who is currently trying to bring a case against the Americans for their mistreatment of prisoners in Guantanamo - has said,” he added.

"Eminem would have good grounds for suing the Government over abuse of his copyright," he concluded.

Mariah Carey photo Comeback Queen Mariah Carey is reportedly dating Dipset rapper Cam'ron, who she once worked with on a remix of one of her hits.

They were spotted coseying up at New York's famous Bungalow 8 club recently and hosted a party together in LA last weekend.

Mariah, who collaborated with the hip hop star on her "Boy (I Need You)" remix, has also been seen wearing a Dipset chain and cruising in Cam'ron's blue Lamborghini.

The "We Belong Together" and "It's Like That" diva's career is now firmly back on track with her critically-acclaimed and multi award-winning album, "The Emancipation of Mimi" album, and now it looks like she's getting her love life is sorted too.

Britney and Kevin Get Marriage Counselling

They've been attending sessions with therapist Irene Kassoria for a few weeks now, in a bid to cool down their blazing rows over Kevin failing to end his outrageous partying days after the birth of their son, Sean Preston.

“Britney needs to stop flying off the handle. Kevin needs to listen better and not run off to Vegas every time they fight. But their relationship is already much better,” a source reveals.

The pop princess has also been visiting Singh Khalsa, a yoga master for “sound healing” sessions, which she's using for career guidance.

Spider-Man Gets Image Change

Tobey Maguire photo Tobey Maguire will be reprising his role as Spider-Man, but he won't be slipping into a red and blue suit this time round. As it's been revealed that Spidey will wear a black stretchy suit in "Spider-Man 3".

This news hints at the storyline for the movie, which is scheduled for release in May next year, linking to a plot from the comic book. It's suggested that Venom could be the new villian in the third movie, Spidey's black-wearing, evil alter ago. It's believed that Topher Grace may play the new character.

As well as Tobey, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco and Dylan Baker will return for the third "Spider-Man" installment. "The Village" actress Bryce Dallas Howard will join the cast as Peter Parker's new love interest Gwen Stacy.

Sheryl Crow Has Breast Cancer Surgery

Sheryl Crow photo Sheryl Crow has had surgery for breast cancer, a statement on her websites has revealed.

"Her doctors think her prognosis is excellent," the Grammy award winning singer's publicist says. The “minimally invasive” procedure was successful and she'll now start radiation therapy as a precaution.

On www.sherylcrow.com, the 44-year-old star said that she was lucky she detected the condition early, and urged other women to have regular check-ups.

“Approximately 1 in 7 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. I am joining the more than 200,000 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year," she said. "We are a testament to the importance of early detection and new treatments."

The treatment meant Sheryl was forced to postpone her North American tour, which was due to start next month.

Britney Spears photo Britney Spears has filmed her guest spot for "Will & Grace", marking her return to work after months of maternity leave.

She proved popular with the studio audience, so popular in fact, that when she appeared on set the viewers were so excited and shocked that filming had to be interrupted to give the pop princess a proper introduction.

“I think anybody in their right mind, any celebrity would want to be a part of that,” Britney says of her cameo role in the hit show.

The pop tart proved she wasn't afraid to show off her post-baby body, by wearing a figure-hugging, knee-length red dress.

'Eminem's A Role Model', 50 Cent

50 Cent photo50 Cent has described controversial, foul-mouthed rapper Eminem as a “role model”.

The 29-year-old says he looks up to him because he helps him keep “level headed”. He says he also looks to him for how to deal with fame and success.

"He's had even bigger success than I have in some areas. He's been extremely helpful to me to kind of stay level headed," the "Candy Shop" rapper confessed. "I kind of look to Eminem to gauge how I should respond to success," he added.

He was speaking at a press conference in Taiwan, where he would later perform a concert.

The hip hop star, who has been shot nine times, recently starred in the movie “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”.

Jacko's all-star Katrina Record Finally Ready

michael jackson pic Michael Jackson's long overdue all-star charity record for victims of Hurricane Katrina is finally ready for release, months over-due and lacking the big name stars it originally boasted.

The song, which Jacko, nearly half a year ago said would be ready for release within two weeks, will feature R&B singer R Kelly, Crunk princess Ciara, rapper Snoop Dogg, and soul songstress Keyshia Cole, as well as musical veterans the O'Jays and Shirley Caesar.

However, superstars Jay-Z, James Brown and Lenny Kravitz, who signed up for the record last September, have since dropped out.

The son of the King of Bahrain, Prince Abdullah, who Michael has been staying with says: We've been taking our time to perfect it and mix it." Adding that the song, which he plans to release through his own 2 Seas label, will be out by the end of this month.
