It sounds like there was no Christmas holiday joy and good cheer at the Holmes' household when Tom Cruise and Katie showed up for a visit with her family.
According to Life & Style magazine, the couple has put their marriage plans on hold after a botched make-good session with Katie’s parents over the hols.
"Tom and Katie ended up leaving — three days earlier than planned," said a friend. "Katie was in tears, but that’s standard when it comes to dealing with family matters and Tom." (And when you're six months pregnant ...)
The magazine is reporting that a spokesman for Cruise denies the story despite the fact that there have been other reports that Katie's pop is not thrilled with the prospects of his six-months-pregnant daughter marrying the Scientologist actor.
"My honest opinion is that the wedding’s not going to happen," the friend told the magazine about the recent tension. "Neither one of them seems as enthusiastic as they once did about marriage."
