None of them are over 25 and most of them aren't even out of their teens, but according to Forbes magazine's annual ranking of the "World's Most Powerful Celebrities", eleven stars on the list earned more than $127 million just last year.
Who made the list? Taking the top spot is 21-year-old NBA star LeBron James who skipped college to go pro in 2003 and earns some $23 million per year, thanks to his basketball salary and endorsements from Nike, Upper Deck, and Coca Cola.
Then there's the Olsen twins who, despite no new movie or TV show out since 2004, manage to come up with royalties and income from their own production company and retail outfit, added up to a hefty $21 million for the year. Hillary Duff, 18, scored $15 million, Lindsay Lohan banked $11 million, Ashley Simpson made $5.3 mil, and 24-year-old Brazilian model Adriana Lima (photo) made the list earning $4.5 million last year.
Reports Forbes: "Paris Hilton, meanwhile, earned a comparatively paltry $6.5 million in 2005, yet some might argue that she had to give up a little bit of herself to make that happen. At the end of the day, however, we hope you don’t just see the numbers–the low, low age ones or the high, high money ones–but instead see the combined achievements of some of the most remarkable young people on the planet. So here’s to you, Frankie Muniz; $8 million hardly seems enough to cover the 22 minutes of happiness you bring to each one of us every week."
