"I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement," Paris Hilton has said about her former best friend Nicole Richie following her break-up with her fiancé Adam Goldstein a few days ago.
The Hilton heiress also says she would like to patch up things and become friends again with her former "The Simple Life" co-star. At a friend's Christmas party, Paris reportedly stood up and sent a public message to Nicole: "I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."
Nicole is said be having a hard time after being dumped by her fiance Adam Goldstein, aka "DJ A.M," who said he left, according to a friend, because "it was just something that he knew he had do."
The split came as a surprise to Nicole who is said to be devastated and very hurt. Up until the day of the break-up, Adam and Nicole were "still making plans together for trips and business ventures. It really did come right out of left field for Nicole."

I had no clue that they had broken up. I just found out right now. I thought that everything was perfect. Evidently not huh? I sympathize with her because of me having a broken engagement myself. Maybe it had something to do with both set of parents. Who knows with these celebraties nowadays. How sad for her and D.J. AM. He doesn't seem like the type to just do it out of the blue there had to be a reason.

i heard he dumped her because he thought she was taking her diet too far and that she was too skinny. i think she is still pretty. she will find a better b/f. i also think her and paris should become friends again. they made a cute best-friends.

nicole is for sure to wrapped up in staying skeletal. I am 70 pounds, in an eating disorder center, and lost my boyfriend of 6 years. I am taking care of myself now. Nicole should realize that no guy wants to be betrothed to a gal who looks like a twig. I feel no remorse for her whatsoever. a little advice- gain a little then you can bitch about losing your guy

Hi nicole I am sorry to hear that your boyfriend broke up with you! if he thought you were to skiny well he's got the rong person cause your really really pretty! and I also think that you and paris hilton should be friend's agine and do a nother seson of the simple life!!
