Eva Longoria and Tony Parker Deny Insulting Cop

Tony Parker & Eva Longoria A police officer in Texas is accusing "Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria and her boyfriend, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker, of yelling profanities and insulting him after he asked them to move their car which was blocking traffic.

The officer reported that after he had touched Parker's car, the celebrity couple "began screaming in a verbally abusive and demeaning manner" and that Eva called the officer a "Mexican bike cop".

Police say Parker began to drive away and almost hit a man standing nearby. He was then told to stop and get out. Parker showed the cop a French driver's license -- although cops say their records show he has a Texas license.

Mike Myers and Robin Ruzan Comic Actor Mike Myers has announced he is getting unhitched from his wife of 12 years, Robin Ruzan. A mouthpiece for the couple said in a statement that the two "remain committed and caring friends" (yeah, right) but gave no reason for the separation.

Myers, 42, wed Robin in 1993 while he was still working on Saturday Night Live. Since then, he's gone on to star in hits such as "Wayne's World", "Austin Powers" (oh, behave!), and the voice of the green ogre in "Shrek".

In the first "Wayne's World" movie, Myers gave this observation on the notion of wedded bliss to his wierd friend: "Garth, marriage is punishment for shoplifting in some countries."

The news is still a shock though, since 12 years is a long time. Can't anyone in Hollywood stay married?

Not an Alias: Just Call Her Jennifer Affleck Now

According to Contactmusic, "Alias" actress Jennifer Garner has changed her name to Jennifer Affleck so that she can share her surname with her daughter, Violet, who was born earlier this month.

Recently, she made a donation ($500) to Democrat candidate Deval Patrick who is running for governor in Massachusetts. Jen signed the check as Jennifer Affleck. Her actor-husband Ben Affleck has donated to several democratic candidates in the past, and may be considering a run for office himself.

There's no word yet if she plans to use it professionally in her career, or just legally.

Elton John To Marry His Partner on Wednesday

Elton John & David Furnish Singer Elton John says that when he weds his longtime love David Furnish in England in a civil partnership on Wednesday, it will be "the happiest day of my life."

Sir Elton, 58, and David, a 43-year-old Canadian film producer, have been together for 12 years. The singer recently said the couple wanted a "very low-key" ceremony with only their parents present as witnesses. "They've been so fantastic to us and so supportive. Out of respect for their support, we want to just keep it small. Not to make a ballyhoo of the ceremony."

"There will be a party somewhere, but the day will be very low-key and we'll take our parents to lunch afterwards."

John wrote in London's The Observer that it's been a long struggle for gay rights, but now they have "real civil rights, tolerance and final acceptance in our lives."

Gay civil partnerships will become legal in England and Wales on Wednesday, although the British government is not calling them "marriages."

Ali Lohan pic It's helps to have a famous older sister when you want to break into show business these days. Next up in Lohan family line is Ali Lohan, who is said to be in talks with Disney to have own TV show.

Aliana, 11, the younger sibling of Lindsay Lohan, has reportedly caught the attention of TV executives after she starred in Lindsay's video "Confessions of a Broken Heart", which saw the sisters bearing their souls about their divorcing parents. Ali plays Lindsay in the video of the hit single and tears her hair out as her parents (played by actors) fight. Lindsay, who also began her career when she was 12, recently said of Ali's performance: "I cried when I saw it. It is like therapy in a way."

Ali, who has done cameos in a couple of her sister's films, has also done a seasonal song called "Totally Awesome Christmas" which is now out on CD.

Michelle Yeoh pic Actress Michelle Yeoh put so much practice into walking in a form-fitting kimono for her new movie "Memoirs Of A Geisha", she says she still catches herself doing the dainty strut unconsciously.

The queen of the martial arts cinema ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") says that learning to walk as a geisha in the difficult outfit proved to be more challenging than many of her fighting moves.

"From the minute I got out of bed, I'd walk around the house in it - it became second nature. Sometimes I'd be walking down the street in jeans and get into that little shuffle. But then I'd be like, 'Okay, time out, girl. You look a little strange.'"

Bono pic U2 frontman Bono and Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda Gates, have been named "Persons of the Year" by Time magazine.

The magazine says its aim is to honor "the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or for ill."

The Irish rocker has been instrumental in the debt relief campaign for poor countries. In 2002, he co-founded DATA - Debt, AIDS, Trade, Africa - to help troubled African nations. The Gates' were praised for their creation of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which has become the world's biggest charity with a $29 billion (�16.3 billion) endowment which, among other things, helps in the fight against infectious diseases.

The article reads "For being shrewd about doing good, for rewiring politics and re-engineering justice, for making mercy smarter and hope strategic and then daring the rest of us to follow, Bill and Melinda Gates and Bono are Time's Persons of the Year."

Imagine...Plastic Ono to License a Plastic Lennon

John Lennon pic All you need is love and a talking Lennon doll. There's news that Yoko Ono has licensed a John Lennon action figure which will be named "The New York Years" Lennon and that it will utter authentic phrases used by the former Beatle.

The National Entertainment Collectibles Association says this is the "first licensed Lennon done ever" -- which I guess means those bobble head collectibles from the sixties weren't licensed? This doll is of the modern Lennon, with profits going to Yoko and I would assume her designated charities.

Earlier this month, fans of the legendary musician gathered around the world to remember him on the 25th anniversary of his death. Lennon was shot and killed in 1980, at age 40, outside his New York apartment by a deranged fan.

The doll will be available in stores in the spring. The company's website necaonline.com has a picture and description of the 18-inch doll.

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown!

Now, I'd of picked TomKat, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes hands down, but they didn't disappoint me as they came in second. From "Hi, I'm Katie" to "Tom, I'm pregnant" in just a wee bit over 5 months is wacky tacky but I'm sure these two are made for each other.

The magazine says that Whitney and Bobby are the reign king and queen of tackiness this year for revealing too much of themselves on "Being Bobby Brown."

In a disappointing third place is Britney Spears and K-Fed. Better luck next year! After that comes Jude Law and Sienna Miller (and the nanny and Sadie Frost), Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, Ice T and Coco Austin, Mischa Barton and Cisco Adler, Paris and her Greeks, and finally Star Jones and Al Reynolds. (What? No Ashton and Demi??)

Nicole and Adam pic "I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement," Paris Hilton has said about her former best friend Nicole Richie following her break-up with her fianc� Adam Goldstein a few days ago.

The Hilton heiress also says she would like to patch up things and become friends again with her former "The Simple Life" co-star. At a friend's Christmas party, Paris reportedly stood up and sent a public message to Nicole: "I'm really sorry to hear about Nic's engagement. I went through the same thing. With Christmas coming up, I realize I really miss her and want to get in touch again."
