She may have her own fashion line but Ashley Olsen will probably regret pissing off legendary fashionista Karl Lagerfeld. The pint-size Ashley was not only unfashionably late to the Chanel New York-Paris show at his flagship store in New York, but then she failed to recognize him.
According to the New York Post, the show was held up for 30 minutes while waiting for the actress, who had to view the rest of the show from backstage when she arrived and was not seated in front with other celebs such as Lindsay Lohan and Claire Danes.
But that was only the beginning, PageSix reported. Mr. Lagerfeld did try to talk to Ashley but she "cringed away from him like he was a stalker. Her person had to tell her who he was, but he had already whispered something nasty in French about her and was very mad." And, the source added, he refused to speak to her after that.
It comes as no surprise then, that the much taller Lindsay has been picked to front the new Chanel campaign. For one thing, she shows up on time. The star, who met with the designer earlier this month, said that she was ecstatic over the thought of working with him: "I'm so excited. I think it's for a magazine. I'm shooting with Karl Lagerfeld! It's amazing."
Lindz will be replace supermodel Kate Moss who was dropped after pictures of her snorting blow hit the tabloids.

why is a professional model like kate being replaced by 19 year old supermodel wannabes? lindsey should stick with acting, ashley should stick with- um, whatever the hell she does
