Paparazzi target Lindsay Lohan had yet another traffic accident this year when she crashed her beautiful black Mercedes in a head-on collision with a van on a West Hollywood street Tuesday afternoon.
The badly damaged Mercedes, with both the driver and passenger-side air bags deployed, was towed away. (Pic after the jump. And yes, you'll see her airbags aren't as big as they used to be.) It was the second crash Hohan has been involved in 4 months. She was slightly injured in a June crash but not in this one, although she was shaken up and taken to a hospital. Reports are saying the guy driving the van was okay too.
Witnesses said "dozens" of the tabloid snappers had been following Lohan before the crash, although according to an "exclusive" at Perezhilton.com, those witnesses made it clear there were no paps in sight when this crash happened:
, "Unlike her previous accident, we hear that this time, Lindsay was not being chased by the paparazzi. Lindsay was driving like a maniac and she hit a (red) van that was being driven by an employee of the Newsroom Cafe," a source told PerezHilton.com. "It was a head-on collision."
"Both Lohan's car and the van were totaled. Her airbags were deployed. It was awful! One of her tires ended up in the middle of the street."
According to PerezHilton's report, Lindsay and her friend went into an antiques store to call for help, before returning to the crashed convertible to fetch something important: "A few minutes later, Lindsay's female friend went running out back to the car, which was totaled. She went and grabbed all of Lindsay's stuff out of the car, which still had her music BLASTING." Hmmm...wonder what could have been so important that Lindsay had in her car??? Perhaps she wanted to make sure she had her purse and anything in it with her for safekeeping. You know, like her drivers license ... and stuff."
