The Hollywood Reporter is breaking the story that Lindsay Lohan has landed a role in the indie drama film "Bobby" written by Emilio Estevez who will also be directing.
The ensemble cast includes Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone, Elijah Wood, Nick Cannon, Shia LaBeouf, Brian Geraghty and Freddy Rodriguez. The film is set to go into production next week.
"Bobby" is a fictionalized account of the 1968 assassination of presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and focuses on the lives of the people who were working and staying at the Ambassador Hotel in L.A. in the hours leading up to the murder. Lohan plays a woman who marries her boyfriend's brother (Elijah Wood) to keep him from being sent to Vietnam, only to fall in love with him.
"Lindsay, who you do not think of as an indie film actress," said producer Edward Bass, "is an inspired choice and is the heart of the movie."
