Paris Hilton Worried That Her Music Career Might Flop

Hotel heiress and tv star Paris Hilton is reportedly worried that her singing career might make her a laughing stock if it flops.

Paris began talking about the release of an album more than two years ago, but has yet to release any singles. "i want every song to be great. if they aren't, people will trash me," the sun quoted the actress as saying.

She is collaborating with Snoop Dogg on the music, and working to create buzz on the project with scott storch the hip-hop record producer who took her to the vma music awards a week ago.

according to radaronline.com storch calls himself "the meyer lansky of hip-hop" and was recently named by billboard magazine recently "one of today’s hottest writers and producers."
, He's been seen a lot with Paris lately and her rep, Bob Zimmerman, explained it by saying, "Paris and Scott are taking advantage of every public opportunity to create buzz for the album he’s producing." And Paris Latsis? "They’re still engaged and Paris is still moving forward with the wedding plans."

Challenge of Joplin Role Leaves Renee Zellweger Undecided

Academy award winning actress Renee Zellweger is denying reports that she has agreed to play the late great Janis Joplin, as she is not yet convinced she is the right actress for the role.

Renee says she is still considering the offer to take the lead in the biopic "piece of my heart" because she wants to see the casting done right. "it's all speculative right now. the movie is in pre-production. it's going to take a long time," renee said. "if at the end of that time it still feels right time in my life, then we'll see."

"Joplin was an extraordinary person," she said of the blues singer who died in 1970 from a heroin overdose. "there is a need to be careful with the movie, to make sure it does not become a cliche, because that would be blasphemy. we have to make sure that the people who knew her are not disappointed."

Elijah Wood Laughs Off Gay Rumors

Everyone's favorite hobbit Elijah Wood has been dogged by rumors for years that he is gay and says he finds it all amusing. "the lord of the rings" star admits he likes to surf the web to see what others are sayings about him, and isn't too disturbed by photos that are obviously photoshopped showing him with other men.

"There’s one [website] that’s called elijahwoodisveryverygay, which is actually a personal favorite of mine, it’s absolutely hilarious," wood told talk show host Conan O'Brien. "it’s this kind of joke web site that maintains that they have proof that i am very, very gay in various photographs — photographic evidence of me holding hands with a male."

"I was actually at a film festival once and this fan came up with a gift, i open the gift in front of all these people that i'm talking to, and it happens to be a photo from one of these websites of me and Dominic Monaghan making sweet love."

"If you didn’t know any better, it kinda looks real. These people have a lot of time on their hands and my hat’s off to them because it’s very good work."

Frances Bean, the poised daughter of Courtney Love and the late Nirvanagreat Kurt Cobain, was recently interviewed by teen vogue and gave the world a glimpse of her down to earth views on life.

"I'm a different person. i don't want to be titled as Courtney Loveand Kurt Cobain's daughter. I want to be thought of as frances cobain."

In the magazine article and photo spread, thirteen-year-old frances shows no love of grunge and claims that she's a girly-girl. "I don't like to look sloppy. I love feminine pieces," she says. "my favorite color is light pink. I also like baby blue because it brings out my eyes."
, She also makes it clear that she is embarrassed by her mother's retarded, drugged out fashion "style" which often consisted of nothing more than having her boobs falling out of short lingerie. "I prefer it when she's more of a 'classy starlet.'I don't really like her hardmetal stuff, or when she doesn't brush her hair."

The scorecard for Frances hasn't been great so far - her mom is currently in rehab and her dad committed suicide - but she seems more put together at 13 than Kelly Osbourne is at 20. Here's hoping she's inherited her father's legendary talent for music, and nothing from her mother.

Becoming Harry Potter's girlfriend on screen was suppose to be the big break for Scottish born Katie Leung, but the ride has had a few bumps so far. Katie beat out 3,000 other girls to land the part of Cho Chang in "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" and has already received a slew of hate mail months before the film is out.

She says some fans object to her being Harry's girlfriend while others brought her Asian ethnicity into it. She tells Good Housekeeping in the October issue:"Looking different from most of the people at school never caused me any problems. Still, I never expected the hate sites that popped up on the internet after I got the part in the film. I couldn't understand why people were so angry - a lot of the messages were from jealous girls who didn't like the fact that I play Harry's love interest in the film and some of them did bring my ethnicity into it."

Hurricane Relief Concerts Start This Weekend

This weekend kicks off a number of live concerts and benefits by various organizations to raise money for hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

The major networks and more than two dozen cable outlets in 95 countries will air "shelter from the storm: a concert for the gulf coast" tonight. Performers in los angeles and new york will include Mariah Carey, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Alicia Keys, Sheryl Crow, the Dixie Chicks, Rod Stewart and Randy Newman, among others. The fund-raiser will include appeals for donations throughout the day, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending with the networks' late shows.

Also tonight, bet will air a relief telethon of its own called s.o.s. (saving ourselves). The artists who will perform include Wynton Marsalis, Master P, Alicia Keys, Diddy, Jay-z, Kanye West, Usher, Omarion, Pharrell Williams, Ciara, Ludacris, Twista, Stevie Wonder, Brandy, Wyclef Jean and Erykah Badu.

MTV, VH1 and cmt will air "react now: music & relief" 8 p.m. saturday with artists including the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Alan Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, The Neville Brothers and Kanye West.

Sparring co-stars Nicole Richie and Paris Hiltonare causing headaches for the producers of "the simple life" as they try to figure out how to go ahead with filming - even though their two stars are refusing to speak to each other.

A source told America's MSNBC: "they're trying to figure out ways to do it where Paris and Nicole don't appear in any scenes together. they're really having to think outside the box."

Paris reportedly suggested (again!) that her new bestest friend Kimberly Stuart should replace Nicole. But the show's bosses have a couple of reasons not to consider the fugly Kimberly who continues to say the most outrageous things to anyone who sticks a microphone in her face. After having called gorgeous Jennifer Aniston"homely" the skank recently made fun of Paul McCartney's wife, amputee model Heather Mills who lost her lower left leg in a motorcycle accident in 1993. In the october issue of stuff, the clueless Kimberly jokes: "what has three legs and lives on a farm?" she asked. "Paul McCartneyand his wife." That just begs the question: how does Paris put up with that low class bitch?

Enjoy 20 Weeks Watching Sean Faris on "Reunion"

Sean Faris will bring his abercrombie & fitch sexiness to the debut of fox's "reunion" tonight. the new show offers a cast of six ridiculously attractive friends who graduated from high school back in 1986.

"Reunion" is a risky show with a high concept. Tonight's premiere starts in the present, at a funeral of one of the friends, then goes back 20 years to the high school graduation. The format and plot are innovative, something like "lost" and "24", and it follows the "o.c." so it should hold over a lot of viewers.

The uniqueness of the murder-mystery series is that each week's hour-long episode covers one year in the lives of the friends, who are also suspects. The first episode is set in 1986. the next week covers the year 1987, and so on. the story advances until we are brought back to the present day and the funeral. And no, you won't know which one of them is dead until the end of the season.
, Sean is a big reason to tune into the show and give it a try for a few weeks. He's a former model and has attracted a lot of fans since he turned to acting and guest starred on One Tree Hill, Smallville, and Boston Public. Sean's biggest following came from the cancelled-too-soon "Life as We Know it" which is now out on DVD, so you can catch the episodes that were never broadcast.

The "Reunion" cast includes: Jenna (Amanda Righetti), Carla ( Chyler Leigh), Aaron (Dave Annable), Will (Will Estes), Craig (Sean Faris) and Samantha (Alexa Davalos).
