Huh? Jennifer Lopez claims her acting career is being ruined by her tabloid and weekly magazine fame and says it is preventing her from getting more serious movie roles.
J.Lo was in the news constantly a couple of years ago when she was engaged to Ben Affleck and is now married to singer Marc Anthony. She said of her fame: "In the beginning I was a blank slate. Then when I became famous I was being offered movies that I could star in but that's all. When I think I should be seeing the big directors, they don't even consider me. They see me as a sexy singer who is in the media too much."
No Jen, it's because your career is uneven and people focus on your shitty movies rather than the good ones. While "Out of Sight" was good and "Anaconda" was a hoot and even "Maid in Manhattan" had some great reviews, people still think of "Gigli" first when your name comes up. Actually, when you look at the list of films she's done, it's amazing that she's complaining at all. Girl, you've had a career most under-employed actresses would kill for!
