Rumors are running amok that Amazing Race 8 (the "family" race) sucks so bad that producers may scrape the footage - and race - completely.
Sightings of The Amazing Race 8 have occurred all over North America (New Jersey, Alabama, and Canada) this summer, but the race apparently hasn’t ventured off shore.
Adding to the ridiculous premise of allowing young children to participate in what was once a grueling trial of stamina, patience and wit, The Orange Country Register newspaper is reporting today that "the race is being softened up to accommodate the kids." The new show is a family-of-4 team edition that allows kids as young as eight to race with their parents.
The Amazing Race 6’s Hera McLeod (photo) posted the following message at Survivor Sucks: "From what I hear, they are having a lot of problems with it and it may actually not be a rumor that it all gets canned. (I can’t tell you my sources so don’t even ask! haha! ) Personally, I think it would be a blessing in disguise because TAR is not meant for children!"

I am really hoping that TAR8 doesn't put an end to this successful reality show. TAR8 is REALLY bad. The moment that I realized that the show was dumbed down for families who would be travelling around North America in the family station wagon...err..SUV...I turned it off. I couldn't stomach the stupidity of the first show and this is coming from a fan who has watched very single episodes since TAR's inception.

i've watched every season of the amazing race except this one, and as a loyal fan of the show, i must say i am very very dissappointed. this race isn't so amazing since it'll probably be stuck in just one country.

Have watched each episode of the Amazing Race 8 so far.
What a big yaaaaawwwwnnn!!!
Is this show ever gonna leave the shores of the US?
I think I am ready to give up watching this tripe until Amazing Race 9 (if it is still allowed to air after this big disappointment.)

i like this season the best cause of ROLLY! he is the hottest guy in the world. i like seeing teenagers better than old people.
