Happy belated Birthday to Irish yummy Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who turned 28 on July 27. His career is white-hot this year as he was nominated recently for an Emmy for his spot-on lip-curling portrayal of the King in the miniseries "Elvis" and he's currently in Rome filming "Mission Impossible 3" with the gruesome twosome Tom Cruise and whatshername.
The Dublin born actor (real name Jonathan Michael Francis O'Keeffe), has three younger brothers ("All really good musicians and all really gorgeous lads. I'm pissed.") and was raised by a single mum. He's a bad boy, having been expelled from school at age 16, but he was quickly discovered by casting agents and soon began his acting and singing career.
If you saw him in "Bend It Like Beckham" and "Velvet Goldmine" (or "Ride with the Devil" with Toby Maguire) you likely fell in love with those cheekbones, Mick Jagger lips, blue eyes, and slender hips. It looks like he's buffed up recently for his part in MI3, too. I'm telling you, this guy just keeps getting hotter. Eye candy, that's what he is.
