Britney Spears to Cut Back on Hubby's Fun

There are new reports that Britney Spears is having a hard time keeping a check on her hubby's extravagant lifestyle.

According to New York Daily News, she is clamping down on Kevin Federline's spending habits believing they're facing a huge financial burden. One rumor puts the estimated total cash burn of his spending and gambling fun to be about $3 million dollars, and they've yet to be married one year.

An insider reportedly said that Britney (who might or might not be pregnant with twins as the latest rumor goes) has now put Kev on a leash. "He's been spending too much, flaunting his new American Express black card. She told him, 'We have bills to pay, this shit adds up.' He spends money like it's water, has no job to speak of, and I think Britney's starting to wake up and realize it," the insider added.

Hey, a Ferrari, a Harley, a case of Cheetos, lap dances ... it all adds up really quick. To support her spend-aholic hubby, Britney is getting back to work. She is launching a new fragrance, Fantasy, in September, and is also keen to start her own line of maternity clothes. "There's so much nasty stuff out their for mums-to-be," Britney says, "I can't work out why stores don't sell funkier stuff. I have ideas about more modern designs and it would be fun to utilise them."

Material Girl turned Material Mom Madonna has written a bunch of best-selling, entertaining, and inspiring children's books... Not!

PageSix is reporting that a source has informed them of the identity of the true author of her Kabbalah-themed kiddie fiction.

Although Madonna claims to have penned "Mr. Peabody's Apples," "Yakov and the Seven Thieves" and "Lotsa de Casha," an inside source told PageSix reporters that "All of Madonna's books are written by the Kabbalah Center's official ghostwriter, Eitan Yardeni."

"Eitan also writes all of Yehuda and Phillip Berg's books and the Kabbalah Books for the Center. Last summer, he flew to London to help Madonna write the last book, but she didn't really do anything."

Jessica Alba Looks Wicked Cool in Fantastic Four

The reviews for the movie are mixed, but Jessica Alba manages to look good as always amid the full-speed action of lightweight "Fantastic Four" which opens today.

The comic book-based movie is about a Quad Squad of lesser superheros - including The Thing, Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, and Invisible Woman - who went out on a space mission and absorbed some bossa nova solar flare giving them scrambled DNA. Naturally, they now have to go out and torch, smash and stretch Manhattan into submission. Don't take the movie seriously, it's only fun. Alba fans will be thrilled to see her in something big like this, even if it is goofy, and Chris Evans as torch boy offers a couple of comic turns.

On some personal notes, Jessica declared in a recent interview to Britain's Sunday Times Culture magazine that her costume for the invisible woman was much too revealing. "The outfit was very tight. There was not a lot left to anyone's imagination. All the boys got to wear muscle suits underneath their outfits but I didn't have anything. My costume was so revealing. I just had to embrace it and walk proud."

She also said that her male co-stars made a big fuss while doing action scenes: "Men are much bigger divas than women."
, "When I used to do the action scenes in 'Dark Angel' I would have to play it rough. If you hit an actress accidentally, she would usually take it on the chin and say, 'Don't do that again.'"

"But with the guys, they would put ice on it, take a 20-minute break and ask for x-rays. It was unbelievable. I would tell them, 'Come on, man, get over it.'"

"You're infuriating," Bono tells Canadian PM

Yesterday, Bono told Canada to fork over more money for the world's poor. The Canadian Prime Minister told Bono to go suck a moose's butt. Or he should have.

Bono got his gander in a dander when meeting with G8 leaders in Scotland. He told the Canadian prime minister Paul Martin that his country's refusal to promise more foreign aid to third world country was "infuriating."

Bono and Sir Bob "give us your fucking money" Geldof have lectured asked Martin to give a date by which his country would double - nay, triple - its overseas assistance. The PM refused to be cornered by the rock star, explaining it is illogical to run up Canada's debt in order to relieve Africa's debt.

A flustered Bono shot back, "He's very difficult to deal with because he won't agree to things that he doesn't believe he can deliver, although that is very frustrating and annoying and infuriating."

The Fantastic Julian McMahon Plays Dr. Doom in Fantastic 4

Julian McMahon of "Nip/Tuck" fame won't be showing his gorgeous mug (much) in the upcoming "The Fantastic Four." As Victor von Doom, his character's face is disfigured by a cosmic storm, so he wears an iron mask for most of the movie, but that didn't deter the comic book fan from wanting to play the villain.

"You know everyone always says the villains are the fun ones to play, and there is definitely a part of me that agrees with that," McMahon told Film Monthly. "To me it was just taking on a great character, having been a comic book and cartoon fan of The Fantastic Four, knowing about Victor Von Doom since I was a 5 or 6 year old kid, so it was kind of more about taking on that kind of responsibility then it was taking on a villain."

"That said, getting there, being the villain, and playing the bad guy is always fun."

McMahon says that he approaches playing Doom as "... a mission that you need to accomplish by the end of the movie. I feel like it is important to show the audience different sides of the personality ... At the end of the movie I'd like to have the audience a little conflicted as to whether they want him to die."

Loud mouthed Lil' Kim Goes to Prison for Keeping Quiet

Grammy-award winning rapper Lil' Kim was sentenced Wednesday to spend a year and a day in prison for not talking to a federal grand jury. Kim lied to protect her friends who were involved in a shootout outside a Manhattan radio station in 2001.

The gun fight was between Kim's entourage and the rival rap group, Capone-N-Noreaga. One man was wounded as 22 shots were fired from six different guns. Before sentencing, Lil' Kim spoke to reporters about her false testimony and tearfully said, "At the time I thought it was the right thing to do but I now know it was wrong."
, Kim, 30, also asked the judge to go easy on her: "I have worked hard my entire life for everything I have, everything I have accomplished. I ask you to consider my entire life's work and not just the days in the grand jury and on the witness stand in the courtroom. I'm a God-fearing, good person."

He must have taken it into consideration, since she could have gotten up to 20 years behind bars.

The rapper reports to prison Sept. 19. Her lawyers are hoping she will be able to do her time in the facility in Danbury, Conn., so that she can be closer to her mother.

Is Danbury a real jail or a minimum security facility? Kim probably won't want to chill in general prison population after singing "paybacks a bitch motherfucker, believe me naw i aint gay this aint no lesbo flow" ...

Serena & Venus Compete for Role in "X Men 3"

After conquering the tennis world the last six years, Venus and Serena Williams are each hoping to launch a film career by landing an acting gig in "X-Men 3". Both sisters will be competing for the role of a bisexual hooker in the film, which will also star Halle Berry and Sir Ian McKellen.

"Brett [Ratner] feels either of the girls would be fantastic for the role, which is a superhero who oozes sex appeal," a source told The Sun.

As far as casting goes, Serena has the inside track over Venus in this competition - she's been dating "X Men 3" director Brett Ratner. But she's gonna have to lose the weight she's put on this spring ... she doesn't exactly look like Halle did as Catwoman, who prowled around looking very skinny and seductive in black leather. Now that, oozed sex appeal.

Angelina Jolie Adopts an African Girl

Congrats to actress Angelina Jolie who is adopting a newborn Ethiopian girl orphaned by AIDS, according to People magazine.

The baby will be named Zahara Marley Jolie. The magazine had no further information on the baby's health or age, but said she had been left an orphan by AIDS.

Jolie, 30, told People that she and her son Maddox, 3, who she adopted from a Cambodian orphanage, were "very happy to have a new addition to our family."

"Angelina's adopting as a single mother and she wants that emphasized," a source told People. After a trip to Ethiopia earlier this year, Jolie said of Maddox: "My son is in love with Africa, so he has been asking for an African brother or sister."

As for rumors that Jolie and Brad Pitt are planning a family together, the source denies them. "This has nothing to do with her relationship with Brad Pitt. People are going to try to say it's about their relationship. But it's not.

Inside TV magazine, a new weekly publication aimed at "women who love television," has put out its first (annual) tribute to the "50 Sexiest Men on TV." And (drumroll, please ...) the top lady-pleasing man on the tube is: Patrick Dempsey from "Grey`s Anatomy."

Dempsey plays Dr. Derek Shepherd on the medical drama about the personal and professional lives of a group of interns.
