Omarosa : Aren't Her 15 Minutes of Fame Up Yet?

Apprentice Drama Queen and Surreal Lifer Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth is back in the news, with one show currently on TV, another in the works ("She's gonna be bigger than Oprah!!"), and a husband who can't stand her.

I don't know how I missed it but PageSix reported back on June 21 that Omarosa the She-Devil is in line to get her own show. OMG!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!

And who else but a former executive producer of the Jerry Springer Show, Richard Dominick, could actually believe this would work? Dominick apparently "leaked" the news to PageSix that there's a talk show in the works for Omarosa, and that the woman everyone loves to hate has already worked on the pilot.

Dominick said, ""Love her or hate her, you won't be able to turn her off. She's going to be bigger than Oprah." She's even emulating Oprah by dropping her long last name, and will be known, henceforth, as just Omarosa. Again: Oh. My. God.
, About the show's format, Dominick said, "We're going to take all that attitude she has and have her turn it toward people who deserve to have their heads handed to them."

Currently appearing on the VH1 show, "The Surreal Life 5", which premiered July 10, she was mashed in the last episode by housemate Branson Pinchot who told her she was "one of the fakest people he has ever met." No surprise there. Uh-huh. No way Jose.

Another nugget of useless Omarosa news: she's just told People magazine that she's split from her husband of 5 years, Aaron Stillworth, and she says "it's her fault." No surprise there either.

Jesse McCartney gets Punk'd Beverly Hills 90210 Style

Pin up boy Jesse McCartney was messed with by bikers and jumped in the backseat of his limousine for safety in a Punk'd prank in Los Angeles.

Contactmusic.com is reporting that the former Dream Street singer was on his way to a show at Beverly Hills High School in Los Angeles when his chauffeur drove into a line of bikes. The tattooed bikers came up to the limo to menace the driver and occupant, whereby McCartney ran for cover, saying, "I just don't wanna get hurt."

Jesse was in tears, reported contactmusic.com, as the bikers started banging on the windows of the limo. And ta-da! That's when punk master Ashton Kutcher showed up, and a relieved and good natured Jesse jumped out of the back seat and started attacking the practical joker.

Paris and Nicole Forced to Make Up for Simple Life 4?

If the uber skinny Nicole Richie has any strength left after her recent weight loss took her below 100 lbs, then she may be required by contract to film "The Simple Life 4" with former best bud Paris Hilton, whether she likes it or not.

People magazine is reporting that the network has picked up the option on the pair's existing contracts for a fourth season of the reality show. Planning is still in the early stages, but among the ideas being discussed internally in production would be to follow both Paris and Nicole as they prepare for their respective upcoming weddings and their subsequent lives as married women.

Another possibility would be to shoot actual footage of their reconciliation ... NOT!
, It's been a She Said/She Said battle the past few months as sources have claimed such nonsense as Nicole being jealous of the media blitz Paris has created around herself, or that Paris wanted to bring in a new pal, Kimberly Stewart, to replace Nicole as the other "Simple"ton on the show.

Closer to the truth is probably that Nicole wanted to spend more time with her man and plan her wedding, as well as pursue other interests. Like seeing how it feels to starve oneself to death.

Hometown Throws Baby Shower for Jennifer Garner

Mom-to-be Jennifer Garner, who looks VERY CUTE with her big belly and smiling with grocery bags for a photog, was honored with a baby shower in her hometown of Charleston, West Virginia, last Saturday, July 9. The cool part is, all the gifts collected at the "Jen and Ben Baby Shower Night" were then donated to charity.

Jen and her husband Ben Affleck were not in attendance at the West Virginia Power minor league baseball game, but more than 4,000 fans were there and hundreds took part in the charity drive, bringing gifts.

Free admission was offered to anyone named "Jennifer" or those donating items. The gifts were then sent to Starting Points, a nonprofit group serving children and the families of children under age 8.

Since they are uber-millionaires, it's likely that Ben and the Alias star need any help with baby clothes or decorating the nursery, but Zap2it.com is reporting that a Babies 'R' Us registry has been found by fans online. If it's legit, it cites the baby's due date as November 9.

Borat is Back: Ali G on da 4 train

British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, alias Ali G and star of the HBO series in which he dresses up as several characters and hassles people, can't travel around Brooklyn incognito anymore.

He showed up wearing a snug beige suit and clutching a weathered tan suitcase on a moderately crowded 4 train in Brooklyn recently. He moved down the car, lunging in to kiss surprised men and introducing himself in broken English as "Borat from Kazakhstan." Alas, the New Yorkers weren't fooled for a minute. The famous faux interviewer was recognized almost instantly and got off at the next stop.

, If you don't know who Ali G is, here's a sample from National Review discussing his genius and ability to land interviews with clueless diplomats, politicians, celebrities, and journalists:

"Ali G is also able to get [former National Security Advisor] Brent Scowcroft to discuss the pros and cons of nuking Canada, with the fake rapper arguing that the "most amazing part" of nuking Canada would be "the element of surprise." Scowcroft ultimately dismisses the idea, because "we don't want what they've got up there."

"...And in one of the highlights of last season, Ali G argues with Ralph Nader over whether the rainforests deserve protection. All these monkeys plopping on your head. Who would stay there? You'd have to be absolutely mental.'"

Johnny Depp Steps Into Role of Chocolate Factory Mogul

Johnny Depp's latest creepy, over-the-top character is about to role out in his delicious new movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" which opens this Friday.

Johnny plays Willy Wonka, an odd loner who launches a worldwide contest to name an heir to his chocolate factory and fortune. By finding the golden tickets in candy bars, five children, including a little boy named Charlie Bucket, win the chance to tour Willy Wonka's factory and all the wonders that lie within.

And what wonders they are! The fantastic factory is manned by an army of Oompa-Loompas who ride in a dragon-headed boat down a chocolate river, past crops of twisted candy cane trees, mint-sugar grass, marshmallow cherry cream shrubs, and mountains made of fudge. In addition to the incredible sets, director Tim Burton created a Nut Room manned by real squirrels instead of computer image graphics. An animal wrangler spent 19 weeks training 40 furry workers to sit on tiny stools and crack nuts and place them on a conveyor belt over and over and over again, faster than any machine. A truly Burton-eque touch!, For Depp fans, the actor was recently interviewed about the movie at comingsoon.net in an article entitled "Depp by Chocolate." Some excerpts:

CS: We have to ask about the everpresent Michael Jackson comparisons. Did that ever come up while you were making the movie?
Depp: It actually never crossed my mind, oddly enough. Michael Jackson was not an ingredient or inspiration for the character at all. A few people have mentioned it, and it kind of took me by surprised because I really didn't expect that. I guess on some level I can understand. There's a little bit of a look, but you can easily think of some other recluse like Howard Hughes as well. Roald Dahl wrote this book and wrote this character, and it was published in 1964. Michael Jackson was a wee lad then, so I don't think he was inspired by him either.

Which of the children do you think you were most like as a child?
Depp: I'd like to think that I was like Charlie, but I don't think I was, because my mom uses the term "hellion." I wasn't obnoxious or precocious, but I was curious. There were a lot of practical jokes and things like that. I got on her nerves basically. I pissed her off quite frequently.

What kind of risks did you feel that you were taking by playing this role?
Depp: To the fans of the book and the fans of the 1971 film, it's a very well loved character, both the book and Gene Wilder's brilliant performance in the film. I knew that I would have to take it somewhere, far away from Gene Wilder and the area that he had stomped. Having that amazing material by Roald Dahl and taking that and trying to interpret what he might have liked to seen in terms of cinema. What kind of character would he have liked? There's such dark and light in that story in such a subversive kind of undertone and a twisted perverted kind of side to the character that I ran into the direction that seemed right to me.

Do Not Speak to Sir Elton Unless Spoken To First!

Party guests were stunned when they were told that they were not to speak to legendary superstar Elton John unless he spoken to them first. And he was the host of the party.

The Rocket Man's latest bizarre behavior came as he hosted his annual White Tie and Tiara party at his Windsor mansion in England. "I was staggered when I was told not to approach Elton," one guest was quoted as saying in the Daily Telegraph of Australia. "To be honest it is absurd."

The A-list guests at the party included Sharon Osbourne, Sharon Stone, David Beckham, Liz Hurley and Hugh Grant, but one would suspect the "don't speak to Elton unless spoken to first" rule applies to only non-celebrities.
, "Elton is obviously a star but this is bordering on paranoia," a source told the Daily Mirror of London. "He is acting like old-fashioned royalty, or some tinpot dictator."

Why Jennifer Connelly Got Grossed Out Filming 'Dark Water'

Although filming the supernatural thriller "Dark Water" was very physical and difficult, Jennifer Connelly is telling interviewers that it was an experience she loved: "This is the most enjoyable time I've had on a movie."

In probably the first and only movie ever about evil plumbing tormenting an apartment dweller, her character battles self-demons in a wierd psychological thriller. Connelly, 34, talked to People magazine about what frightens her, and her grossest on-set experience.

I heard you were reluctant to appear in a scary movie. Why did Dark Water appeal to you?

"I associated horror films with gory films, which aren't so much my cup of tea. Then I saw the original (Japanese) 'Dark Water,' which opened up the door for me. I thought it was scary and thought-provoking and moving at the same time. In my research, I went back and watched lots of scary films and saw that there are some really wonderful films in this genre – like Roman Polanski's 'Rosemary's Baby.'"
, Do you get scared easily?

"I'm your average bear, except when it comes to the first 10 minutes of an airplane ride. Then I'm downright neurotic."

What do you do?

"I kiss the plane and just grin and bear it. Then I just wait for the explosion. And when it doesn't come, 10 minutes later I'm fine and I enjoy the flight."

Your kids visited you on the set of 'Dark Water.' Did they find it frightening?

"Well, Stellan (age 2) was too small to know what was going on. But yeah, he and Kai (age 8) were there all the time. There were a lot of kids around – (costars) Ariel (Gade) and Perla (Haney-Jardine) and the stand-ins and the doubles. (Director) Walter (Salles) is very sensitive. The kids were never exposed to anything really disturbing."

What was your grossest on-set experience?

I'm not sure if the scene is in the film. They dumped all this debris on my head and just doused me with water. It wasn't so much gross as just ridiculous, the amount of water they blasted at me. I had kneepads and elbow pads on. It was the most unglamorous I've ever felt. It was like 70 lbs. of water coming out of each of these jets. I can't hear the little girl or even see her and I'm supposed to be fighting for her life. It was absurd.

What about your next film?

The next film is on dry land. It's called 'Little Children.' It's a great script. I'm Cathy. And Kate Winslet is playing Sarah. We start rehearsals in little over a week. It's a different kind of character. I'm excited to play this strong, stable, well-grounded women. It will be a refreshing change for me.

Will you have any downtime this summer?

We always find time to relax. But Paul [Bettany, her husband] is doing 'The Da Vinci Code.' We'll be bouncing back and forth. He'll be filming in London. It turns out none of our dates overlap, which is very convenient – and not entirely coincidental.

In another interview, she told Dark Horizons: "It's not like 'The Ring' or 'The Grudge' or close in tone to those films." She cites and compares "Dark Water" to be more like her favorite examples of the genre such as Roman Polanski's "Rosemary's Baby," and the artistic "Don't Look Now" which she says she loves.
